The setting i choose will be in the forest.In this scene, Gennero and his friends have been dispatched to Ferrara as part of a venetian dlegation. Since in this monologue, Gennaro is grumbling and resenting over his mother, Lucretia Borgia, whom he loved so much, but also hate after learning the dark side of her from his friends. The setting in a forest gives the illusion that Gennaro is a bit 'puzzled', as he wonders in the forest. He is in two minds, to hate or to love her. The Angry part of him will be portrayed by lighting and thunders, while the disappointment part of him will portrayed when it pours. The use of the horse wants to give the audience the feeling that it is during ancient times that horses were used as a mean of transport. The large rock on the left side is to also show that during all those times, the rock where the sword can be 'pierced through'.
