Monologue chosen

My monologue:Lucretia Borgia by Victor Hugo

Oh cursed be that Lucretia Borgia! You say that she loves me.Well! So much the better! Let that be her punishment! She fills me with horror! Yes, she fills me with horror. You know what i mean: It is impossible to be indifferent to a woman who loves you. You either love her, or you hate her. And how could i love that? Besides, the more one is persecuted by the love of that sort of woman, the more one will hate her.I am obssessed with her, she surrounds and besieges me. WHat have i done to deserve the love of Lucretia Borgia? Its a disgrace and a Disaster! Ever since the night you told me her name in that earth-shattering fashion, you wouldn't believe how much the thought of that wicked woman disgusts me. Formerly, i had only seen her from afar, at a great distance, like a terrible phantom haunting the whole of Italy, like a spectre looming over everyone. Now that spectre haunts just me, it sits at my bedside, this hideous spectre loves me and wants to lie down on my bed! On my mother's life, it appaling! AH! Maffio! She murdered thCount of Gravina, she killed your brother! I would gladly take his place, but as i am still alive, i will take revenge on her! There she is in her execrable palace! The palace of lust, palace of treason, palace of assassination, palace adultery, palace of incest, palace of every crime imagainable, palace of Lucretia Borgia! Oh! I may not be able to stamp the mark of infamy on that obscene woman's forehead, but i can at least stamp it on her palace!
